So I have a laptop, it was windows 8.0 and I upgraded to 8.1, I didn't like it at all so I downgraded it to win7 because it was laggy and the text displayed was blurry.I knew something was wrong with the installation of windows 8 and even after a full clean format it wouldn't go back to normal. I went and downgraded it because I had enough and knew windows 7 would be faster for this pc (which it was), I said yaay its much smoother and faster with no problems. Then I installed all the drivers wifi, bluetooth, mouse etc.. the only 3 things I couldn't install was the Ethernet driver, SM bus controller and Universal serial bus driver (USB) controller. And my usb slots were not working other than the 3.0 port which I had a usb plugged into it for downgrading..
I know its something to do with the bios and since the bios update is windows 8-8.1 only I don't know what to do.. I have a recovery file .wim and I dont know how to use it. I also forgot to get my product key from my win8 pc before I downgraded I had no knowledge of this occurring and didn't think it would be a problem..
