Yes, serial number are 7 digits but they not always begins with 3; on Cartier website some start with T or CA and then the serial number beginning with number 6 or 8.
Cartier has over 250 different design and all have different materials.
The serial number must be on the bridge and on one side of the inner of the temple (on that same temple should have Made in France CE and serial number) The logo symbol on the nose pads; copyright symbol Cartier Paris and the temple size number, name on the inner of the temple. Last but not least, SOME design has at the end of the temple a little plate with Cartier logo outside.
